How to Use the Aiven MCP in Windsurf
Manage your entire Aiven cloud stack directly inside Windsurf using autonomous agent flows.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Aiven MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect Aiven to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Automate database provisioning
Cascade handles the heavy lifting when you need to spin up new infrastructure. It uses `create_service` to build your databases without you leaving the editor. Once the service is active, the agent confirms state via `get_service`. It keeps your environment definitions in sync with your local config files.
Monitor infrastructure within Windsurf
Stop jumping between browser tabs to check service health. The Aiven MCP server lets you run `list_services` to see what is running in your current project. If you need to change a plan or scale capacity, the agent executes `update_service` on your behalf. It handles the API handshake while you focus on the code.
Control project boundaries
Managing project access and VPC settings happens right in the chat pane. You can call `list_projects` to verify your workspace context before making changes. When it is time to isolate resources, `create_project_vpc` sets up your networking stack. Cascade maps the entire sequence, ensuring your environment is ready for deployment.
