Code with Real Submissions

The `list_survey_responses` and `get_response_details` tools replace static mock files with actual production data via this MCP integration. Your agent pulls real user submissions while you write the parsing logic. This means Cursor sees the exact JSON structure of a complex multi-page form submission. You write the TypeScript interfaces based on live API shapes instead of guessing.

Extract Form Schemas via MCP

Developers use `list_survey_questions` and `get_question_details` to map out form logic. The AI client reads the exact question types and validation rules defined in the platform. When building a custom dashboard, Cursor knows exactly which fields exist. It generates the correct React components to display those specific question types.

Sync Campaigns and Quotas

Calling `list_survey_campaigns` and `list_contact_lists` lets your editor see how surveys get distributed. You can write cron jobs that trigger based on active email blasts. The agent also monitors your API limits using `get_account_usage` and `list_survey_reports`. Cursor writes the rate-limiting logic by checking your actual remaining quota.

Setup guide

Set up Alchemer MCP in Cursor

Prerequisites

  • Cursor installed (macOS, Windows, or Linux)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Open MCP Settings

Go to Cursor Settings → MCP or open the Command Palette (Cmd+Shift+P / Ctrl+Shift+P) and search for "MCP: Add Server".

  2. 2

    Add the Alchemer MCP

Cursor will create or open .cursor/mcp.json in your project root. Paste the JSON snippet on the right. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your endpoint token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Enable Agent mode

Open Composer (Cmd+I / Ctrl+I) and switch to Agent mode using the dropdown at the top. MCP tools are only available in Agent mode.

  4. 4

    Verify the connection

Ask Cursor something like "List my recent Alchemer transactions." If the MCP tools are loaded correctly, Cursor will call the Alchemer tools automatically. You can also check Settings → MCP for a green status indicator.

Common questions about Alchemer MCP in Cursor

Create an `mcp.json` file in your project root and paste the Vinkius endpoint URL. Switch your chat to Agent mode to enable the tools.
The available tools only read data. You can pull the contact lists to test your syncing script, but you cannot write new contacts back to the API.
You need to prompt the agent to run `get_survey_details` first. Once it reads the actual schema, it stops guessing the property names.
Yes. Placing the configuration file in `~/.cursor/mcp.json` makes the tools available across all your local projects.
The agent reads raw user submissions and contact lists strictly to generate code context. Vinkius runs the tools in an ephemeral V8 Isolate, so your customer feedback never persists on the middleware.
