Script Your Flow Deployments

This server connects Appcues to your command line. Use Claude Code to `publish_flow` as part of a deployment script or `unpublish_flow` to quickly disable a campaign. It's all done headlessly. Integrate it into your CI/CD pipeline. After a successful build, add a step that calls `claude mcp run appcues-alternative-mcp publish_flow`. Your new feature tour goes live automatically with your code deploy.

Query Appcues from the Terminal

Pull Appcues data directly into your shell. You can `list_flows`, `list_segments`, or `get_user` and pipe the JSON output to tools like `jq` for filtering and analysis. No need to open a browser. This is great for quick checks and reporting. A simple command like `claude mcp run appcues-alternative-mcp list_flows | jq '.[] | .name'` gives you a clean list of all your flow names.

Automate User Cleanup with a Claude Code MCP Server

This MCP Server provides a `delete_user` tool for scripting account removal. It's a powerful and irreversible action, meant for backend automation. You can write a shell script that reads a list of user IDs from a file and pipes them to Claude Code, which then calls `delete_user` for each one. It's a solid way to handle data retention policies or GDPR requests from a trusted environment.

Common questions about Appcues MCP in Claude Code

In your workflow YAML, add a step to install Claude Code and connect your MCP server. Then, add a run command: `claude mcp run appcues-alternative-mcp publish_flow --params '{"flow_id": "your-flow-id"}'`.
Yes. Run `claude mcp run appcues-alternative-mcp list_segments`. This will output a JSON array of your segments directly to stdout, which you can then process with other command-line tools.
Definitely. The `check_appcues_status` tool is designed for this. Run it as the first step in any script to confirm connectivity before trying to publish or get data.
Claude Code simply executes the tool you tell it to. It's on you to build safeguards in your scripts, like adding a confirmation prompt or running it with a `--dry-run` flag if your script supports it.
The server only touches Appcues user profile data if your script calls `get_user` or `delete_user`. Vinkius processes these requests in an ephemeral, zero-trust environment, ensuring data passes through without being stored.
