Connect Appcues MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Appcues to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Turn Appcues Data into Code
Build front-end components with live Appcues data. Ask Cline to 'create a React component that lists all active user segments'. It will use `list_segments` to fetch the data, write the code to display it, and stage the new file for you. This isn't just about getting data. It's about turning that data into working code inside your project. Cline does the work, from API call to file creation, closing the loop between your growth tools and your codebase.
Manage Content from Your IDE
Handle the entire Appcues content lifecycle inside VS Code. Cline can use the `publish_flow` and `unpublish_flow` tools to push updates live or take them down. Just tell it 'unpublish the holiday promo flow' and watch it happen. Your agent can also check on things first. Before publishing, you can ask Cline to 'get me the details for the onboarding checklist' using `list_checklists` and `get_flow` to make sure you're pushing the right update.
Your Appcues MCP Server in VS Code
Debug user issues without opening a new browser tab. Give Cline a user ID and ask it to 'pull this user's Appcues profile and check their activity'. It'll use `get_user_profile` and `track_user_activity` to give you a full picture. Because Cline operates on your file system, it can even write the user's profile to a temporary JSON file for you to inspect. It's a faster way to diagnose what a specific user is seeing.
