Connect Atlan MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Atlan to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Generate schema-accurate code in Cline
The `search_assets` tool gives Cline direct access to your Atlan data catalog schemas inside VS Code. When you tell Cline to build a new data pipeline, it searches your Atlan catalog first to get the exact table structures. Cline then writes the pipeline code and creates the files in your VS Code workspace. You do not have to copy-paste Atlan schemas or guess column names in Cline.
Audit data policies using this MCP Server
This MCP Server uses `list_purposes` and `list_classifications` to let Cline check Atlan data restrictions before generating code. Cline runs these checks to ensure your code does not expose restricted Atlan columns. If Cline detects a restricted Atlan classification, it modifies the generated code to mask those fields. This keeps your Cline development process compliant with Atlan rules.
Assign correct data access roles
The `list_personas` tool lets Cline inspect defined user roles and access groups inside your Atlan workspace. When writing database access policies in VS Code, Cline references these Atlan roles to configure secure permissions. Cline reads the Atlan persona configurations, writes the access control scripts, and stages the files for your review. This ensures your Cline code matches your organization's Atlan security model.
