Automate headless bulk SMS from your CLI

`send_bulk_sms` sends text messages to 164 phone numbers simultaneously from a single shell command. Claude Code reads your local contact files, formats the E.164 array, and executes the blast without a GUI. The terminal agent captures the job ID and pipes the per-recipient status array into your logs. You can combine this with cron jobs to automate system alerts or scheduled broadcasts.

Provision shortcodes directly from the terminal

`create_shortcode` requests a new messaging shortcode and retrieves its activation timeline. Claude Code runs this command, monitors the provisioning state, and alerts you when the number is live. When campaigns end, the terminal agent uses `delete_shortcode` to decommission the number. This keeps your active shortcode inventory clean without manual dashboard management.

Pipe inbound SMS data using this Claude Code MCP Server

`get_inbound_messages` retrieves incoming texts, sender details, and matched keywords. Claude Code pipes this raw JSON payload directly into your local shell scripts or databases for instant processing. You can verify your active auto-replies by running `get_keyword_responses` from the terminal. The agent displays the campaign logic in clean stdout, letting you audit opt-in flows instantly.

Common questions about AT&T Messaging MCP in Claude Code

Run the command `claude mcp add --transport http att-messaging-mcp -- ` in your terminal. This registers the MCP Server in your `~/.claude.json` configuration file.
Yes, `send_mms` lets the terminal agent send rich media by passing a sender ID, recipient number, and media URL. It prints the resulting message ID directly to stdout.
The CLI agent calls `get_message_status` with your message ID. It returns the precise delivery state so you can debug routing issues without leaving the terminal.
`list_messages` retrieves your outbound and inbound history. Claude Code displays the timestamps and content snippets directly in your shell for easy grep filtering.
Every request executes in an ephemeral V8 Isolate Sandbox on Vinkius. Your MCP credentials, active shortcode patterns, and outbound text logs are isolated from other network layers.
