Inject real voice data into Cursor

Stop writing mock JSON arrays to test your audio player component. When you activate Agent mode, Cursor calls `list_voices` to pull actual provider data straight into your editor. The agent grabs the precise language codes and gender tags from the MCP Server and writes them directly into your TypeScript interfaces. You get production-ready types without digging through API documentation.

Test audio mixing pipelines live

Building a podcast automation tool requires testing the final output. Cursor can trigger `text_to_speech` to create a sample file, then immediately pass that file to `create_mix`. You watch the console while the editor handles the API execution. Once the render finishes, the MCP agent uses `get_audioform` to fetch the live URL and embeds it into your test suite as a valid fixture.

Build sound template galleries

Designing a UI for music selection is faster when you have the real assets. Tell your editor to fetch the latest background tracks using `list_sound_templates`. Cursor maps the returned categories into your React components. Because the MCP connection feeds live data, you never have to guess what the template objects look like.

Setup guide

Set up AudioStack MCP in Cursor

Prerequisites

  • Cursor installed (macOS, Windows, or Linux)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Open MCP Settings

Go to Cursor Settings → MCP or open the Command Palette (Cmd+Shift+P / Ctrl+Shift+P) and search for "MCP: Add Server".

  2. 2

    Add the AudioStack MCP

Cursor will create or open .cursor/mcp.json in your project root. Paste the JSON snippet on the right. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your endpoint token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Enable Agent mode

Open Composer (Cmd+I / Ctrl+I) and switch to Agent mode using the dropdown at the top. MCP tools are only available in Agent mode.

  4. 4

    Verify the connection

Ask Cursor something like "List my recent AudioStack transactions." If the MCP tools are loaded correctly, Cursor will call the AudioStack tools automatically. You can also check Settings → MCP for a green status indicator.

Common questions about AudioStack MCP in Cursor

Create an mcp.json file in your project root directory. Paste the server command details inside the mcpServers block and turn on Agent mode.
The editor itself does not play sound. It calls `create_audioform` to generate the file and drops the final MP3 URL into your code so you can test it in the browser.
Yes. The agent hits `list_voices` to read the current catalog dynamically instead of relying on outdated training data.
Ask the chat window for your current metrics. It executes `get_usage_analytics` and prints your credit balance right next to your code.
Your generated MP3 URLs and script payloads pass through a zero-trust V8 Isolate. The connection is ephemeral, meaning Vinkius destroys the environment the millisecond the audio renders.
