How to Use the Axiom MCP in Cline
Let Cline query Axiom datasets via this MCP Server, write the fix, and update your telemetry dashboards.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Axiom MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Axiom to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Direct log querying from the Cline sidebar
The `run_query` tool brings your production logs directly to Cline. Instead of guessing why an API endpoint is failing, you tell Cline to inspect the logs and it fetches the exact trace. Once Cline gets the raw data, it modifies the local TypeScript files to handle the edge case. This MCP Server saves you from copy-pasting JSON payloads back and forth.
Build and update Axiom dashboards from VS Code
The `create_dashboard` and `update_dashboard` tools let Cline build visual telemetry layouts based on your active workspace structure. Your agent analyzes your database schema and drafts a corresponding dashboard. If you add new metrics to your code, Cline updates the existing dashboard instantly. You never have to click around the Axiom UI to sync your charts.
Ingest test telemetry dynamically
The `ingest_data` tool lets Cline send test run telemetry straight to Axiom from your workspace. When Cline executes a local test suite, it pushes the execution times and failures to your dataset. This creates a historical record of your local test runs. You can easily track flaky tests over time without setting up complex external reporting tools.
