How to Use the Axiom MCP in Cursor
Inject live Axiom log data into your codebase while you write using the Cursor agent.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Axiom MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Axiom to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Query Live Logs Mid-Code
The `run_query` tool lets the Cursor agent pull actual production logs while you write the fix. You ask the editor to find recent errors in a specific dataset, and it retrieves the exact stack traces. Writing tests based on real-world edge cases takes seconds instead of hours. The agent reads the APL output and generates unit tests that match the exact data structures your app is already throwing.
Provision Axiom Monitors via MCP Server
Setting up alerts happens directly from your editor using the `create_monitor` and `create_notifier` tools. You define the logic in your code, and the agent configures the matching alert rules in your infrastructure. Checking existing thresholds is just as simple. Calling `list_monitors` brings your current alerting rules right into your IDE context so you avoid creating duplicates.
Manage Datasets and Dashboards
Creating new storage buckets for your metrics requires one prompt that triggers `create_dataset`. The AI handles the API payload formatting behind the scenes. Visualizing that new data works through the `create_dashboard` command. Cursor builds the dashboard structure while you stay focused on writing the application logic.
