…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Azure Cosmos DB Container MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Azure Cosmos DB Container to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Code with Live Cosmos Data
This server connects your Cursor agent to a specific Azure Cosmos DB Container. Instead of writing boilerplate to fetch data, just ask the agent. It can use `query_documents` to get real data and write the code that processes it, right in your editor. Stop coding against stale or mock JSON. You can tell the agent, "Get document 'xyz-123' and generate a TypeScript interface for it." It will call `get_document` and write the code based on the actual data structure in your database.
Manage Test Data from the Editor
Setting up or tearing down test cases just got faster. You don't have to leave your editor to populate your dev database. The agent can use `create_document` to insert new records before a test run. When you're done, tell the agent to clean up. It will use `delete_document` to remove specific records by their ID and partition key. It's a simple way to manage your database state without context switching.
Your Cosmos DB MCP Server
Adding this MCP Server to your Cursor project gives your AI agent a direct line to your NoSQL database. It makes the agent a true partner in development, aware of your actual data. Because the configuration can live in your project's `.cursor/mcp.json` file, your entire team gets the same data access. It keeps everyone's agent in sync with the project's data sources.
