Run Tests from Your Gemini Agent

Let your Gemini-powered agent manage your Beagle Security test pipeline. It can use `list_projects` to see what's available, then trigger a new scan on a specific target with `start_test`. While a test is running, your agent can periodically use `get_test_status` to monitor its progress. If you have a long-running security audit, the Google ADK's long-context capabilities let the agent keep the entire test history in mind.

Analyze Security Data in BigQuery

The real power here is connecting Beagle Security to your Google Cloud data warehouse. Your agent can finish a test, then immediately use `get_vulnerabilities` to pull all the raw findings. Because you're using the Google ADK, your agent can then directly write that structured vulnerability data into a BigQuery table. No more exporting CSVs. From there, you can build Looker dashboards or run further analysis with other Vertex AI tools.

A Google ADK Security MCP Server

This MCP Server gives your agent a complete view of your Beagle Security setup. It can look up your account info with `get_user_profile` or get metadata for any asset with `get_project_details` and `get_application_details`. You can also control which tools your agent can access. The Google ADK's `tool_names` filter lets you expose only read-only tools like `get_test_results` to certain agents, while giving trusted agents access to `start_test` and `stop_test`.

Setup guide

Set up Beagle Security MCP in Google ADK

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • google-adk package (pip install google-adk)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install Google ADK

    Run pip install google-adk to install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via the McpToolset class.

  2. 2

    Connect via SSE transport

    Use McpToolset.from_server() with SseServerParams pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Create an LlmAgent

    Pass the returned mcp_tools list directly to LlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required.

  4. 4

    Run with any Gemini model

    The agent works with any Gemini model (gemini-2.0-flash, gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with Beagle Security tools in your ADK agent.

agent.py
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams

# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
    connection_params=SseServerParams(
        url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    )
)

# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
    name="Beagle Security_agent",
    model="gemini-2.0-flash",
    instruction="You have access to Beagle Security tools via MCP.",
    tools=mcp_tools,
)

Common questions about Beagle Security MCP in Google ADK

It's just a few lines of Python. You'll `pip install google-adk`, create an `McpToolset` with your Vinkius server URL, and then pass it to your `LlmAgent` constructor. The ADK handles the rest.
Yes, that's a key benefit. An agent can hold the results of multiple `get_vulnerabilities` calls in its context to compare security scans over time. This lets you ask complex questions about vulnerability trends directly to your agent.
While it's designed for the Google Cloud ecosystem, you don't need a massive enterprise setup. If you're using Gemini models and want to automate Beagle Security tests, the Google ADK provides the most direct path, especially if you plan to use other Google services.
Have your agent start with `list_projects`. Then, it can loop through the list, use `get_project_details` to check for specific criteria, and decide which applications need a new scan initiated with `start_test`.
The server processes your Beagle Security identifiers like project and application names, plus the test results and vulnerability reports it fetches. Your Vinkius endpoint secures the connection, and the data itself is only held for the duration of the API call within a secure, isolated sandbox.
