How to Use the BrightHR MCP in Cursor
Build internal tools in Cursor using live employee data from BrightHR.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect BrightHR MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect BrightHR to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Inject BrightHR context into Cursor
Feed live staffing data into your Agent mode sessions. `list_employees` provides the raw data you need to build logic around your team structure. The AI writes code based on actual API outputs. You get functional scripts instead of guessing how the data looks.
Query job metadata in Cursor
Grab specific job roles using `get_employee_job_details`. It helps when you are writing automation scripts for HR workflows. Stop relying on static mock files. This MCP Server gives your editor access to the real production data.
Automate absence logging
Hook your custom scripts into `record_absence` to push updates back to your platform. It's built for developers who want to manage workflows through code. Run `list_holiday_requests` first to ensure you have the right IDs. It keeps your data consistent across your custom applications.
