How to Use the Brivo MCP in Cline
Let Cline build custom security dashboards and audit logs directly inside VS Code using Brivo live hardware states.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Brivo MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Brivo to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Cline builds live Brivo door status panels
Tell Cline to write an internal Brivo status page, and it will write the React code, pull live data using `get_door_status`, and hook up `list_doors` to populate the UI. The Cline agent handles the Brivo API integration and the frontend code in one autonomous run. You don't have to copy-paste anything because Cline edits your workspace files directly, testing the Brivo connection and showing you the diff right inside VS Code.
Cline MCP Server automates access auditing
When it is time for a compliance check, this Cline MCP Server pulls your active Brivo user directory using `list_users` and matches it against `list_credentials`. The Cline agent then writes a clean markdown Brivo audit report directly into your project folder. If Cline spots Brivo users without active badges, it flags them by cross-referencing `get_user` details. You get a complete physical Brivo security audit without leaving your Cline editor.
Debug Brivo hardware issues inside Cline
If a Brivo badge reader stops responding, ask Cline to debug the issue, and it will query `list_access_events` to find the exact failure code. Cline checks `get_account_info` to verify the Brivo controller's online status. Cline can even write a quick script to poll `get_door_status` during testing, letting you watch the physical Brivo lock state change inside VS Code.
