How to Use the Builder MCP in Windsurf
Stop manually copying schemas; let Windsurf autonomously build and sync your Builder CMS components in Cascade.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Builder MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect Builder to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Auto-generate code from Builder schemas in Windsurf
The `get_model_schema` tool pulls your exact Builder.io field structure straight into Cascade. Cascade reads this JSON definition, plans the TypeScript types, and writes matching React frontend components in your workspace. This MCP Server lets your agent inspect schemas, write the UI, and verify the types match your CMS fields in one autonomous run. You do not need to copy-paste field names or guess types anymore.
Deploy visual blocks directly from the Cascade panel
The `create_visual_block` tool lets Windsurf write and push fresh content blocks directly to your Builder space. Cascade handles the API payload, creates the block, and updates your local mock data to match the new CMS state. If you need to make changes, Cascade runs `update_visual_block` to patch existing documents. You get a live sync between your local codebase and your headless CMS without opening a browser tab.
Validate live CMS data inside your Windsurf workspace
The `list_model_content` tool retrieves your live Builder entries so Cascade can run unit tests against actual production payloads. Your agent compares the CMS output with your local component props to catch rendering bugs before you commit. It uses `count_model_entities` to verify your content migrations succeeded. You get immediate confirmation that your database counts match your CMS expectations inside your favorite editor.
