AutoGen agents debating Buildium tasks

Set a security agent to monitor `list_work_orders` for high-cost items while a manager agent reviews the budget. They debate the necessity of the task before you approve it. This creates a system of checks and balances. Your agents negotiate the best path forward for property maintenance based on the data they pull.

Consensus-driven Buildium management

Use `get_company_info` and `list_properties` to inform your agents' decision-making process. The agents cross-reference these records to ensure their plan aligns with company policy. You aren't just getting a single answer; you're getting a decision backed by internal deliberation. It handles complex scenarios that require more than one perspective.

Standardized Buildium tool execution

The McpToolAdapter converts your Buildium tools into native AutoGen functions. Your agents interact with the API as if it were a local module. It removes the friction of manual API calls. The agents handle the schema conversion so they can focus on the logic of managing your rental units.

  • autogen-ext[mcp] package
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token

  2. 2

    Fetch tools from the MCP

    Call mcp_server_tools(SseServerParams(url=...)) with your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Run your agent

    Pass the tools to AssistantAgent and call agent.run(). The agent invokes Buildium tools and returns structured results.

agent.py
from autogen_ext.tools.mcp import SseServerParams, mcp_server_tools
from autogen_agentchat.agents import AssistantAgent
from autogen_ext.models.openai import OpenAIChatCompletionClient

server_params = SseServerParams(
    url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
)

tools = await mcp_server_tools(server_params)

agent = AssistantAgent(
    name="Buildium_assistant",
    model_client=OpenAIChatCompletionClient(model="gpt-4o"),
    tools=tools,
)

result = await agent.run("List recent Buildium data")
