Generate code using live Bynder asset data and metadata directly inside Cursor.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Bynder MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Bynder to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Reference real Bynder assets in your Cursor code
The `list_assets` tool pulls real-time file details directly into your active coding session. Instead of writing code against mock data, your agent calls `get_asset` to fetch actual image dimensions, file paths, and metadata formats. This means you build your frontend components using the exact JSON structure your production environment expects. You write cleaner code faster because you see the actual asset payloads as you type.
Build asset automation scripts with this MCP Server
Updating asset tags is handled by `patch_asset_metadata` to let your agent write and test bulk tagging scripts directly in your editor. The agent uses `list_tags` to verify existing taxonomies before writing any update logic. You can ask the editor to write a script that updates a batch of files, and the agent can execute the tool calls to test the changes immediately. This eliminates the feedback loop of writing code, deploying it, and waiting to see if the API accepts the payload.
Generate download links inside Cursor
Fetching authenticated URLs with `get_download_link` lets you inject asset paths directly into your database seeds or configuration files. Combined with `list_collections`, your agent can map out entire media directories and write the corresponding code structures. You can also use `get_account_usage` to verify your bandwidth limits before running heavy migration scripts. Having these MCP tools inside Cursor keeps you focused on your code editor without context switching.
