Script calendar audits with Claude Code

Terminal dwellers can pipe a simple text query into the CLI, and the agent will run `list_bookings` to fetch your entire schedule. It formats the raw JSON into a clean, readable table right in stdout. Want to drill down into a specific meeting? The agent takes the ID from that list and executes `get_booking`. You see the attendee emails, meeting links, and descriptions without ever leaving your SSH session.

Automate team onboarding via MCP Server

You can wrap team onboarding logic into a shell script that authenticates via `get_current_user`. Provisioning new engineers usually involves setting up their default meeting templates. Once verified, it iterates through your standard configurations and fires `create_event_type` for each one. The new hire gets their 15-minute standup and 1-on-1 slots generated instantly.

Handle schedule conflicts headlessly

CI/CD pipelines can check your availability using `get_schedules` against incoming PagerDuty alerts. Imagine a cron job that triggers when a critical incident pops up. Instead of manually declining invites, the script automatically clears your afternoon. It executes `list_bookings` to find non-essential meetings and drops them using `cancel_booking`. Your schedule empties out while you focus on the outage.

Common questions about Cal.com MCP in Claude Code

Run the add command with the HTTP transport flag pointing to your Vinkius URL. Make sure all flags come before the server name. Verify the connection by listing your active tools.
Yes. You can extract meeting details and pipe that output directly into a bash script or jq command. The headless nature makes it perfect for terminal workflows.
No. Vinkius handles the auth layer completely in the background. You just pass your endpoint token via the CLI setup and the connection works immediately.
We recommend the HTTP transport for remote connections. It handles the REST calls efficiently without keeping a persistent stdio process running on your machine.
Your private booking links, participant emails, and calendar IDs hit a zero-trust V8 Isolate Sandbox. Vinkius processes the terminal request ephemerally and drops the memory state instantly.
