Team-Wide Holiday Context
The `list_holidays` tool feeds exact international observances directly to your AI client while you code. Developers stop writing brittle date logic based on static, outdated lists. Copilot fetches the current year's bank closures for any required country and writes the handling logic inline. State-level granularity prevents regional bugs. Using `list_holidays_by_location` pulls observances for specific provinces or territories. Your team builds shipping or billing systems that accurately pause operations during local events, all without leaving the editor.
Filter Observances via MCP Server
Running `list_holidays_by_type` separates mandatory federal closures from optional observances. Copilot uses this data to write precise business day calculations. You'll avoid shipping delays caused by treating every minor festival as a full business closure. Debugging integration failures is trivial. The `get_account_info` tool checks your connection status directly from the chat panel. Your team knows instantly if the MCP server feed is active before trying to build complex calendar features.
Standardize ISO Codes
Calling `list_supported_countries` returns the definitive list of supported regions and their ISO codes. Copilot uses this exact list to generate validation rules and database enums. Everyone on the team uses the same standardized country identifiers. Global applications need proper localization. The `list_supported_languages` tool exposes every available dialect for holiday names. Your editor writes the i18n mapping files using verified language tags, reducing errors in your frontend display.
