How to Use the Chaindesk MCP in Cursor
Build, update, and query your custom Chaindesk knowledge agents directly inside Cursor.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Chaindesk MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Chaindesk to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Feed raw code and docs directly into your datastores
The `upsert_datasource` tool lets your editor send local files, code snippets, or documentation URLs straight to your knowledge base. Your AI client reads your workspace files and writes them directly to your remote database in one step. Use `list_datastores` to verify which repositories are active before you push new data. This keeps your local development environment perfectly in sync with your cloud-hosted knowledge bases.
Control agent behavior using this Cursor MCP Server
The `create_agent` tool lets you generate new support or internal bots using system prompts written right in your editor. You can draft complex prompts in a local markdown file and have Cursor create the live agent instantly. When you need to edit an agent's configuration, run `update_agent` to push your local prompt changes live. Cleaning up old experiments is simple because `delete_agent` handles it without requiring a trip to the web dashboard.
Inspect live customer conversations while you write code
The `list_conversations` tool pulls actual user chats directly into your editor sidebar. You don't have to guess how users interact with your support bots when you can see the raw data. Call `get_messages` to read the exact back-and-forth of a troubled session. This helps you debug agent responses and update their prompts immediately in the same workspace.
