Multi-Agent Bot Management

Managing white-label assistants requires oversight. You assign `list_bots` and `get_bot` to an AutoGen reviewer agent. It pulls the current branding and configuration details for a specific client. A second QA agent reviews that data. If the branding looks wrong, the agents debate the discrepancy. They reach a consensus before alerting your human support manager about the misconfiguration.

Analyze Chatsistant MCP Transcripts

Customer sentiment analysis works better with multiple perspectives. One agent fires `get_conversation` to pull a negative support interaction. It reads the transcript and blames the bot's tone. A separate product agent reads the exact same transcript. It argues the issue is missing documentation. They argue, cross-reference the facts, and finally agree to trigger `add_data_source` to fix the knowledge gap.

Deliberate on Bot Responses

Never push a bot live without a stress test. You build a red-team agent that aggressively fires `query_bot` with edge-case questions. It tries to break the assistant. A blue-team agent monitors the outputs. It checks `list_data_sources` to understand why the bot hallucinated. The agents negotiate a fix, deciding exactly which new files need uploading to resolve the failure.

Setup guide

Set up Chatsistant MCP in AutoGen

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • autogen-ext[mcp] package
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install AutoGen with MCP

    Run pip install "autogen-ext[mcp]" autogen-agentchat. The MCP extension includes mcp_server_tools for stateless tool access.

  2. 2

    Fetch tools from the MCP

    Call mcp_server_tools(SseServerParams(url=...)) with your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Run your agent

    Pass the tools to AssistantAgent and call agent.run(). The agent invokes Chatsistant tools and returns structured results.

agent.py
from autogen_ext.tools.mcp import SseServerParams, mcp_server_tools
from autogen_agentchat.agents import AssistantAgent
from autogen_ext.models.openai import OpenAIChatCompletionClient

server_params = SseServerParams(
    url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
)

tools = await mcp_server_tools(server_params)

agent = AssistantAgent(
    name="Chatsistant_assistant",
    model_client=OpenAIChatCompletionClient(model="gpt-4o"),
    tools=tools,
)

result = await agent.run("List recent Chatsistant data")
print(result.messages[-1].content)

Common questions about Chatsistant MCP in AutoGen

Install the autogen-ext[mcp] package. Fetch the tools using mcp_server_tools with your Streamable HTTP URL, then pass them to your AssistantAgent.
Yes. You assign `list_webhooks` to an infrastructure agent. It reads the endpoints and reports back to the group if any integrations are down.
The McpToolAdapter handles the schema conversion. Your agents read the descriptions for tools like `list_conversations` and decide when to use them based on their system prompts.
You pass the configured tools list to whichever agents need access. A researcher agent might get read-only tools, while an admin agent gets `add_data_source`.
Vinkius isolates the execution environment completely. When your agents pull user chat histories via `get_conversation`, the payload passes through a zero-trust proxy. The server instance dies immediately after the request finishes.
