Analyze Sales Funnels in BigQuery

Give your Gemini agent the ability to pull real-time scheduling data. It can use `list_booked_meetings` to get a complete list of recent bookings from Chili Piper. Then, your agent can cross-reference that data with customer records you already have in BigQuery. This is where Gemini's long-context window shines. You can feed it a massive list of meetings and your BigQuery schema, then ask complex questions about sales performance across different segments. It connects your scheduling activity to your core business data.

Optimize Sales Team Resource Allocation

Your agent can get a complete snapshot of your sales organization's structure. It uses `list_chili_teams` and `list_chili_queues` to understand who is on what team and how inbound leads are being distributed. You get a structured view of your setup in seconds. From there, you can pipe this information into a Vertex AI model. For example, your agent could find that one queue is overloaded with meetings while another is empty. It can then suggest rebalancing team assignments based on the real-time data from this MCP Server.

Run Automated Configuration Audits

Use an agent to make sure your Chili Piper setup complies with company policies. The agent can run on a schedule, using `list_inbound_routers` and `list_meeting_reminders` to fetch your current routing and notification settings. Because you're using the Google ADK, the agent can easily compare this information against a golden configuration stored in Google Sheets or a document in Drive. If a router is misconfigured or a reminder template is wrong, the agent can flag it immediately.

Setup guide

Set up Chili Piper MCP in Google ADK

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • google-adk package (pip install google-adk)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install Google ADK

    Run pip install google-adk to install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via the McpToolset class.

  2. 2

    Connect via SSE transport

    Use McpToolset.from_server() with SseServerParams pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Create an LlmAgent

    Pass the returned mcp_tools list directly to LlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required.

  4. 4

    Run with any Gemini model

    The agent works with any Gemini model (gemini-2.0-flash, gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with Chili Piper tools in your ADK agent.

agent.py
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams

# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
    connection_params=SseServerParams(
        url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    )
)

# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
    name="Chili Piper_agent",
    model="gemini-2.0-flash",
    instruction="You have access to Chili Piper tools via MCP.",
    tools=mcp_tools,
)

Common questions about Chili Piper MCP in Google ADK

You instantiate an `McpToolset` with the Vinkius server URL and pass it to your `LlmAgent`. The ADK handles discovering the tools and making them available to your Gemini agent.
Yes. This is a primary use case. Your agent can call `list_booked_meetings` via the MCP toolset and then use native Google Cloud tools to query, join, or analyze that data against tables in BigQuery.
Your agent simply calls the `list_chili_teams` and `list_chili_queues` functions. The Google ADK translates the natural language request into the correct tool call to the Chili Piper MCP Server.
Yes, the `McpToolset` in the Google ADK has a `tool_names` filter. This lets you expose only a specific subset of the Chili Piper tools to your agent, which is good for building agents with a single purpose.
Your Chili Piper data—like meeting schedules and router configurations—is fetched through a secure, per-request Vinkius sandbox. Your Google Cloud identity can be used for authentication, and all data is encrypted in transit. Nothing is stored by Vinkius.
