How to Use the ClickUp MCP in Cursor
Bring your ClickUp tasks into Cursor to write code that actually matches your project requirements.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect ClickUp MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect ClickUp to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Integrate ClickUp tasks into your Cursor editor
The `create_task` tool lets you log bugs or feature requests directly from your IDE. You can define names and descriptions without context switching. Your agent can now reference these tasks while writing code. It keeps your documentation and your implementation in lockstep.
Manage ClickUp lists within Cursor
Run `list_workspaces` and `list_spaces` to map out where your project lives. It makes finding the right place to log a ticket trivial. Once you find your target, `list_tasks` pulls in the current backlog. You can see exactly what's on your plate while you finish that PR.
Update ClickUp status directly from Cursor
Use `update_task` to push status changes to your board as you finish your code. It closes the loop on your development cycle. If a task is no longer relevant, `delete_task` clears it out. Your project board stays clean without you ever opening a browser.
