Run team-wide conversions using this VS Code Copilot MCP Server
Share conversion tools across your entire engineering team. By committing this MCP Server configuration to your repo, any developer can use VS Code Copilot to call `create_simple_job` to convert assets during local testing. The VS Code Copilot agent monitors the conversion progress via `get_task_status` so developers don't have to context-switch to a terminal. It keeps everyone working in the same editor environment.
Audit active enterprise conversion jobs in VS Code Copilot
Keep track of shared team resources directly in your VS Code Copilot workspace. VS Code Copilot can query `list_jobs` to see what conversions are running across the development environment. If a test script spawns runaways, any team member can use `cancel_job` to terminate the process. It helps prevent credit drain on shared corporate accounts.
Inspect CloudConvert API quotas inside VS Code Copilot
Verify your team's API limits before launching massive batch processes in VS Code Copilot. VS Code Copilot uses `get_user` to pull live credit balances so you know if you need to purchase more volume. Running `list_conversion_formats` lets developers double-check compatibility requirements. This prevents writing code for unsupported media targets.
