How to Use the Coalesce MCP in Windsurf
Cascade controls your Coalesce data pipelines directly from Windsurf, managing jobs and transformations without leaving your IDE.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Coalesce MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect Coalesce to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Manage Coalesce pipelines with Windsurf
Cascade uses `get_environment` and `list_environments` to map your entire data architecture. It pulls current metadata into your context window so you can see exactly how your projects are structured. Once the environment is mapped, you can trigger specific tasks using `trigger_job`. Cascade reads the output to confirm the action was successful, keeping your workflow moving without manual intervention.
Monitor transformation runs in real-time
Check the health of your data flows by calling `get_run_status` through your Windsurf agent. You get immediate feedback on progress, helping you catch failures before they hit production. If you need to inspect specific components, use `list_nodes` to pull transformation metadata. Cascade parses this data to help you debug logic errors or optimize your SQL models.
Full visibility into job execution
Call `list_jobs` to see pending, running, or completed tasks across your organization. It gives you a clear snapshot of what Coalesce is doing at any given moment. Need more detail? Use `get_job_details` to pull logs for a specific ID. Cascade analyzes these details to explain why a job succeeded or where it hit a snag.
