How to Use the Coda MCP in Cursor
Let Cursor write code using live data pulled directly from your Coda tables and documents.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Coda MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Coda to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Generate code with live Coda context in Cursor
By running `list_rows` and `list_columns`, this MCP Server feeds live Coda database schemas directly into Cursor's Agent mode. Instead of writing code against mock objects, Cursor reads your actual Coda table layout to write precise API integrations. When you ask Cursor to build a feature, it queries your live Coda tables to see exactly what data types your code needs to handle. This cuts out the usual back-and-forth of opening Coda in your browser to verify column names.
Debug database scripts using Cursor and Coda
To test database logic during chat sessions, this MCP Server uses `update_row` and `delete_rows` directly within Cursor. If a script fails, Cursor can inspect the affected Coda rows to see exactly what went wrong. Your Cursor agent can also run `insert_rows` to test write operations on your Coda tables in real-time. You see the immediate results of your code's Coda database calls directly inside your Cursor editor console.
Read workspace formulas directly inside Cursor
Using `get_formula_value` and `list_formulas`, Cursor inspects the logic running your Coda business operations. If your code needs to sync with a specific Coda financial formula, Cursor pulls the current calculated value instantly. It also calls `get_doc_details` to verify Coda document permissions and metadata before you deploy your integration. This ensures your Cursor code works with the correct Coda document structure from day one.
