How to Use the CoinAPI MCP in Cline
Let Cline write, test, and deploy crypto dashboards in VS Code using real-time CoinAPI market data.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect CoinAPI MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect CoinAPI to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Build live orderbook displays with Cline
The `get_latest_orderbooks` tool delivers depth data for any trading pair across hundreds of platforms. Cline reads this raw JSON to build interactive frontend components directly inside your workspace. You don't have to mock data for your UI designs anymore. This agent fetches the actual bids and asks, writes the React code, and previews the live interface.
Track real-time transactions instantly
The `get_latest_trades` tool pulls the most recent transactions executed on any exchange. Cline uses this feed to debug transaction-monitoring scripts or verify webhook integrations. Having this feed inside VS Code means you can test your event handlers against actual market activity. It shortens your debugging cycle from hours to seconds.
Inspect market symbols with this MCP Server
The `list_symbols` tool provides a filtered directory of all trading symbols across the crypto market. Cline queries this directory to find correct asset pairs for your code. This prevents runtime errors caused by typos in asset tickers. The agent checks the official symbol list before writing any API calls into your source files.
