…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect CoinAPI MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect CoinAPI to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Generate code using live order book structures
`get_latest_orderbooks` pulls live order book data directly into your active workspace. Cursor uses this schema to generate precise typescript interfaces or python classes that match the exact shape of real market depth. You no longer write code against mock JSON files. The agent reads the actual payload structure from the tool, helping you write serialization logic that works on the first run.
Run backtests inside this MCP Server
`get_ohlcv` imports historical candle data directly into your editor's context. Your agent uses these arrays to test your trading strategies, calculating performance metrics with actual historical data instead of synthetic price paths. When you need to verify specific execution logic, `get_latest_trades` provides actual transaction histories. This live input lets you debug slippage calculations and order-matching routines on the fly.
Map exchange symbols automatically
`list_symbols` identifies every trading pair across hundreds of venues inside your editor. This tool helps the agent resolve naming conflicts between different platforms when you build cross-exchange arbitrage tools with this MCP toolset. To keep your configuration files clean, `list_exchanges` pulls the master list of active markets. Your agent writes dynamic config files using these verified exchange IDs, saving you from manual lookup errors.
