How to Use the CoinCap MCP in Cline
Cline builds your dashboard by fetching live asset prices and market history directly from the crypto markets.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect CoinCap MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect CoinCap to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Cline manages your crypto data flow
Tell Cline to build a tracking component, and it uses `list_assets` to pull the top coins by market cap. It then populates your UI with the latest prices. You avoid writing boilerplate for API requests. Cline handles the tool calls and writes the necessary data fetching logic for your project.
Historical charting with Cline
Cline uses `get_asset_history` to grab price snapshots for your charts. You specify the granularity, and the agent pulls the exact data points required. It makes visualizing market volatility easy. You just define the scope, and the agent builds the chart components using the retrieved data.
Market depth and exchange info for Cline
Use `get_markets` to find specific trading pairs for any asset. Cline fetches the volume and price data to help you identify liquidity in the market. It also uses `get_exchange` to verify platform details. The agent gathers this intel so you can focus on building your trading dashboard.
