…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect CoinMarketCap MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect CoinMarketCap to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Generate real crypto mock data with this MCP Server
The `get_quotes` tool pulls live market prices directly into your Cursor editor to replace hardcoded dummy values. Your agent reads actual trading numbers to generate realistic test suites for your DeFi applications. Instead of guessing JSON structures, this MCP Server feeds real-world API payloads into your workspace. Your code generator builds models based on actual schema types, saving you from runtime bugs.
Map token IDs inside Cursor agent mode
The `get_id_map` tool resolves symbol confusion by linking tickers to unique CoinMarketCap database identifiers. Cursor uses this mapping to ensure your custom API integrations query the exact token you intended. When you write multi-token tracking scripts, your agent runs this tool to generate static mapping dictionaries. This prevents symbol conflicts between duplicate tickers like native tokens and wrapped versions.
Track global market trends within Cursor
The `get_global_metrics` tool fetches total market capitalization, dominance indexes, and volume shifts. Cursor uses this macro data to help you build smart dashboards or write trading algorithms that react to overall market conditions. Your agent can analyze these metrics to generate conditional logic for your automated portfolio managers. You get real data structures injected straight into your codebase without copying from web browsers.
