Coordinate multi-agent Collect campaigns in CrewAI

`list_campaigns` gives your CrewAI researcher agent the ability to scan all active document drives. The researcher agent identifies outstanding requests and hands them off to a specialized copywriter agent. The copywriter then runs `send_message` to draft and send tailored reminders. This division of labor ensures your team contacts recipients without manual intervention.

Hierarchical validation of submitted files

`get_element_details` allows a validator agent to inspect specific form fields submitted by your clients. If the validator spots an error, it escalates the issue to a manager agent. The manager agent then invokes `create_request` to ask for a replacement file. By using CrewAI's hierarchical process, your agents resolve data errors autonomously.

Automated team monitoring and reporting

`get_team_info` allows a reporting agent to fetch organizational metrics and summarize progress for your stakeholders. The agent cross-references this with `list_requests` to build a complete status report. This autonomous crew runs on a cron job, pulling data and writing updates to your team channel. You get a self-managing operations team that keeps your collection drives on track.

Setup guide

Set up Collect MCP in CrewAI

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • crewai package (pip install crewai)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install CrewAI

    Run pip install crewai to install the framework. MCP support is built-in via the mcps parameter.

  2. 2

    Add the MCP URL to your agent

    Pass your Vinkius endpoint directly to the mcps list. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com. CrewAI handles tool discovery and caching automatically.

  3. 3

    Kick off your crew

    Create a Crew with your agent and tasks. Call crew.kickoff() — the agent will automatically invoke Collect tools as needed.

crew.py
from crewai import Agent, Task, Crew

agent = Agent(
    role="Collect Analyst",
    goal="Access and analyze Collect data via MCP.",
    backstory="Expert analyst with direct Collect access.",
    mcps=[
        "https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    ],
)

task = Task(
    description="List recent Collect transactions",
    agent=agent,
    expected_output="A summary of recent activity",
)

crew = Crew(agents=[agent], tasks=[task])
result = crew.kickoff()
print(result)

Common questions about Collect MCP in CrewAI

Pass the Vinkius URL directly into the `mcps` list when defining your agent. The agent instantly gains access to tools like `list_requests` and `create_request`.
Yes, CrewAI supports shared memory, allowing your researcher and writer agents to coordinate. One agent can check `get_request` while another prepares the follow-up message.
Yes, you can use `MCPServerHTTP` with a `tool_filter` to restrict tools. For instance, you can allow a junior agent to use `list_messages` while blocking it from using `create_request`.
The server supports stdio, SSE, and Streamable HTTP. CrewAI handles these transports out of the box so you don't have to write custom networking code.
Your communication data retrieved via `list_messages` is strictly protected. Vinkius runs the MCP Server in a zero-trust, ephemeral sandbox, preventing any external exposure of your user profiles.
