How to Use the Common Room MCP in Windsurf
Use the Common Room MCP Server inside Windsurf to pull community data directly into your Cascade agent's context.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Common Room MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect Common Room to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Manage member data in Windsurf
Cascade pulls contact info using `get_member` and `list_members` to build user profiles on the fly. You'll see exactly who is engaging with your project without leaving the editor. Updating profiles is just as fast. Simply call `update_member` to sync changes, or use `delete_member` to scrub records when you need to maintain clean data sets.
Track community activity via Windsurf
Your agent uses `ingest_activity` to record events like Slack messages or GitHub PRs directly into a timeline. This gives Cascade a clear view of user behavior patterns. Sorting through these signals happens through `list_segments`. Your AI client flags users based on your custom labels, showing you who needs attention right now.
Automate webhooks in Windsurf
Control your data flow by running `create_webhook` to pipe information where it belongs. Windsurf handles the configuration so you don't have to jump between browser tabs. Checking what's active is easy with `list_webhooks`. If a specific hook isn't working, use `delete_webhook` to clear it out and start fresh.
