Build live dashboard components with Cline
This Countly MCP Server connects Cline directly to your analytics database using `read_metrics` and `read_events` to pull real-time usage numbers. You can instruct Cline to build a custom React chart, and it will query your live Countly session counts, write the frontend code, and bind the data points without you leaving VS Code. It bridges the gap between raw data and UI code. It handles the entire implementation loop inside VS Code. Cline calls the Countly metrics tools, grabs the JSON payload, writes the parser, and puts the finished component right in your file tree.
Automate behavioral segmentation audits
The server relies on `read_drill` to let Cline run complex multi-dimensional queries on your enterprise Countly analytics data. When you ask Cline to find why users in a specific region are dropping off, it executes the segmentation query, parses the results, and writes a detailed markdown report in VS Code. It works without requiring you to navigate the web interface. Cline then uses `update_user_details` to tag test accounts or update properties of users who completed specific paths in Countly. You get an automated QA agent in VS Code that cleans up your analytics profiles.
End-to-end session tracking validation
The MCP server exposes `begin_session`, `update_session`, and `end_session` so Cline can simulate complete user lifecycles during testing. Cline writes integration tests that trigger these Countly session tools, ensuring your backend telemetry matches what your analytics dashboard expects. It makes manual browser clicking obsolete. Instead of clicking through your app manually, Cline runs the simulation. It records custom events via `record_events` and inspects the resulting Countly session logs inside VS Code to confirm everything works.
