Query live blockchain data directly inside Claude Desktop
The Covalent MCP Server exposes tools that let Claude Desktop fetch on-chain records from over 100 networks. Instead of manually searching block explorers, your AI client calls `get_token_balances` to check any wallet balance or `get_nft_balances` to list digital collectibles instantly. You don't need to leave your chat to verify wallet states or copy-paste raw JSON. Claude Desktop reads the structured data directly, helping you analyze holdings, verify token balances, and track assets without switching tabs.
Audit transaction histories and logs in plain text
This toolset uses `get_transactions` and `get_token_transfers` to pull historical wallet activity directly into your workspace. It lets Claude Desktop parse past events, spot anomalies, and map transfer histories without leaving the interface. When you need deep forensic details, the server runs `get_transaction_details` to retrieve decoded event parameters and gas metrics. Claude Desktop uses this data to explain complex smart contract interactions in clear language.
Track liquidity pools and network status on the fly
The server uses `get_dex_pools` to fetch real-time reserve amounts and volume metrics from decentralized exchanges. This gives Claude Desktop the raw numbers to calculate pool health and token ratios during your research sessions. If you suspect network delays, Claude Desktop calls `get_chains_status` to verify sync lag and API availability. This MCP server prevents you from wasting time analyzing stale block data when a network is running behind.
