How to Use the Covalent MCP in Windsurf
Let Cascade pull wallet histories, token balances, and NFT data directly into your Windsurf workspace using this MCP Server.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Covalent MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect Covalent to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Audit multi-chain wallets inside Windsurf
The `get_token_balances` tool retrieves raw and formatted balances across dozens of chains directly inside your active workspace. Cascade takes this output and automatically feeds it into `get_historical_portfolio` to plot a wallet's financial trajectory over time. You don't need to write manual fetch loops or parse messy payloads. The agent handles the API calls, cleans up the decimals, and maps out the wallet's history in one go.
Track DEX liquidity pools with Cascade
The `get_dex_pools` tool exposes reserve amounts, token pairs, and volume metrics for specific decentralized exchanges. When Cascade spots an active pool, it can run `get_token_transfers` to track the exact flow of funds moving through those pairs. This setup lets you trace liquidity movements without leaving your editor. Cascade sets up the sequence, reads the pool metrics, and presents the raw transfer logs in a clean format.
Deep dive into block details using this MCP Server
Using this MCP Server, your agent calls `get_block_details` and `get_transaction_details` to inspect block hashes, gas metrics, and decoded event logs. You get the raw transaction data and the exact block height sync status via `get_chains_status` without manual block explorer searches. Cascade chains these tools to debug smart contract events. It reads the raw log parameters, matches them against the block timestamp, and finds the exact point of failure.
