Build full-stack transit maps inside Cline
The `get_bus_vehicles` tool pulls live latitude and longitude coordinates, speed, and heading data for active Chicago buses. Cline reads this raw JSON stream and writes the code to render these live coordinates onto a map component. Because Cline handles end-to-end tasks, you can ask it to build a bus tracker UI. It will call `get_bus_predictions` to get arrival times, write the React components, run your local test suite, and present you with a fully functional interface using live CTA data.
Automated CTA train arrival components
The `get_train_arrivals` tool fetches live L train predictions using 5-digit station identifiers like Clark/Lake or Jackson. Cline uses these payloads to generate precise UI components that display upcoming arrivals, boarding statuses, and delay flags. You don't need to write boilerplate fetch requests or handle raw API responses. Cline uses this MCP Server to verify station details, write the data-fetching hooks, and style the CSS so your train board matches the official CTA line colors.
Real-time disruption handling for your MCP Server
The `get_service_alerts` tool provides detailed descriptions of track maintenance, weather delays, and active detours across Chicago. Cline monitors these alerts to build dynamic alert banners in your application. When building a notifications service, Cline queries `get_route_status` to check which transit lines are experiencing service disruptions. The agent writes the conditional logic to parse these statuses, ensuring your app displays accurate delay warnings without manual testing.
