Connect Currents MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Currents to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Live Data for Cline Projects
The Currents MCP Server feeds real-world events directly into your VS Code environment. You tell Cline to build a news ticker, and it uses `get_latest_news` to pull actual live data instead of mocking it. The agent doesn't just read the feed. It writes the React components, maps the article objects to your UI, and shows you the working diff immediately.
Automated Feed Integration
The `list_regions` tool lets Cline skip the API docs when building localized news apps. This MCP Server provides the metadata needed to fetch the exact parameters for different countries. Once it has the region codes, the agent wires up your dropdown menus automatically. It tests the connection with `check_auth` and ensures the API calls work before asking for your approval.
Deep Article Searching
The `search_news` tool gives Cline deep keyword tracking for your applications. Sometimes your app needs historical context, so Cline hits the search endpoint to run boolean queries against a massive database of published articles. You ask for a script that tracks competitor mentions. The agent writes the Node.js cron job, implements the search logic, and verifies the output matches your requirements.
