…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Currents MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Currents to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Agent-driven news gathering in Cursor
Let your Cursor agent pull live headlines into your code using `get_latest_news`. You can populate your app's frontend with actual events instead of placeholder text. The tool returns structured data that the agent can inject directly into your files. It turns your IDE into a live news terminal.
Search and filter news within Cursor
Refine your data set using `list_categories` and `list_languages` before pulling content. This ensures the articles you retrieve match your project's target locale. You save time by not having to manually clean or filter the news response. The agent handles the sorting before the data hits your editor.
Automate research tasks in Cursor
Use `search_news` to find relevant industry reports for your documentation. The agent can take these search results and draft summaries for your README or project wiki. It removes the friction of switching between your code and a news aggregator. Everything you need lives inside your development environment.
