How to Use the DataRobot MCP in Cline
Build machine learning workflows inside VS Code using Cline and this MCP server to track DataRobot deployments on the fly.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect DataRobot MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect DataRobot to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Audit Raw Training Datasets in Cline
The `list_datasets` tool retrieves your uploaded training files from your DataRobot account. Cline calls this tool to check if the correct CSV or parquet files are ready for your next training run. When a dataset is missing, your agent writes a quick upload script and runs it in the VS Code terminal. This keeps your local development files perfectly synced with your cloud storage.
Monitor AutoML Projects with this MCP Server
The `list_projects` and `get_project` tools expose active AutoML experiments directly to your workspace. Cline tracks these runs to verify that the training process completes without errors. If a project gets stuck, your agent reads the run metrics and modifies your feature engineering pipeline to fix the bottleneck. You never have to leave your code editor to debug a slow run.
Manage Production Deployments
The `list_deployments`, `list_models`, and `get_model` tools pull model performance metrics and deployment statuses. Cline uses these tools to audit your live endpoints and check for prediction drift. Your agent writes custom monitoring dashboards by fetching the live metrics from your active deployments. It connects the API endpoints directly to your local UI components.
