How to Use the Deepgram MCP in Cursor
Build voice features faster by giving Cursor direct access to Deepgram MCP Server transcripts and text-to-speech models.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Deepgram MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Deepgram to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Test speech generation inside Cursor
Stop writing placeholder audio generation code. When you enable Agent mode, Cursor runs `convert_text_to_speech` to generate real audio files while you build the surrounding logic. The IDE pulls the exact bytes back into your workspace. You get to test your playback functions with actual API responses instead of relying on mock data.
Transcribe audio URLs via MCP Server
Feed a test audio link to your agent and watch it pull the transcript using `transcribe_audio_url`. The editor injects that real-world text straight into your test suites or database seed files. Knowing the exact JSON structure of the response helps you write better parsing logic. Your AI client sees the raw payload and writes the matching TypeScript interfaces automatically.
Audit your project usage mid-code
Hitting rate limits while testing is annoying. Ask the agent to fire `get_project_usage` to see your remaining balance without switching browser tabs. If you need to rotate credentials, `list_api_keys` and `list_deepgram_projects` give you the active environment details. You manage the infrastructure directly from your command palette.
