How to Use the Deepgram MCP in Cursor
Let Cursor write your Deepgram integration. Generate working code with live audio transcription and text-to-speech data.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Deepgram MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Deepgram to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Generate Code with Live Deepgram Data
Stop writing boilerplate for API calls. Tell Cursor's agent to transcribe an audio file using the `transcribe_url` tool. It won't just give you the text; it will generate the Python or JS code needed to make that exact API call, complete with the real response. This works for all the Deepgram tools. Ask it to 'generate code to create a new API key' and you'll get a working function that calls `create_key`. It’s the fastest way to go from an idea to production code that uses the Deepgram API.
Manage Keys and Projects from the Editor
You're in the middle of coding and need a new API key. Instead of switching to your browser, just ask the agent to `create_key`. It gets you a key instantly so you can drop it into your environment variables and keep working without breaking your flow. This MCP Server puts your entire Deepgram account admin inside your code editor. Use `get_usage` to see if you're hitting limits or `list_projects` to confirm a project ID.
Prototype Audio Features Inside Cursor
Building a feature that uses text-to-speech? Use the `speak_text` tool directly in Cursor to generate audio samples. You can test different voices or phrasing and hear the results immediately, which is much faster than running a full dev server. This turns your editor into a real-time audio lab. You're not just writing code; you're interacting with the live Deepgram service, making sure the audio output is exactly what you need before you commit a single line.
