How to Use the DeepSource MCP in Cline
Let Cline crawl DeepSource vulnerabilities and refactor your codebase directly inside VS Code.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect DeepSource MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect DeepSource to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Cline hunts down DeepSource vulnerabilities
Instead of manually searching for CVEs, you can let Cline query your security posture by running `list_vulnerabilities` to fetch every active dependency threat that DeepSource has flagged. Once it has the threat list, Cline calls `get_vulnerability` to inspect the exact package version and reachability status before refactoring your local VS Code files.
Onboard DeepSource repositories using this MCP Server
Setting up a new project shouldn't require clicking through a web UI when this MCP Server lets Cline use `get_repository` to verify your VCS configuration. If you need to rotate credentials, Cline calls `regenerate_dsn` to instantly update your DeepSource environment variables inside your VS Code workspace.
Track DeepSource test coverage metrics directly in Cline
Cline keeps your test suites honest by checking DeepSource coverage metrics on demand using `get_test_coverage` to pull your live coverage percentage. If your coverage falls short, Cline writes new unit tests directly in VS Code to cover the missing paths flagged by DeepSource.
