How to Use the DeepSource MCP in Windsurf
Let Cascade autonomously fix code smells and patch security vulnerabilities by feeding DeepSource telemetry straight into Windsurf.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect DeepSource MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect DeepSource to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Let Cascade triage DeepSource issues autonomously
Windsurf doesn't make you copy-paste error logs because Cascade reads your local files and runs `list_issues` to pull the exact line numbers where DeepSource spotted code smells. Once Cascade gets the issue list, it runs `list_analysis_runs` to see if your latest DeepSource analyzer run failed on your Windsurf workspace branch.
Track DeepSource repository health trends inside Windsurf
Keep an eye on your codebase grade without jumping into a browser tab. Cascade fires `get_report_card` to pull your current DeepSource letter grade directly into your Windsurf sidebar. If your grade drops, Cascade uses Windsurf's workspace context to call `get_repository_metrics` and pinpoint exactly which DeepSource metric slid.
Secure Windsurf dependencies with this MCP Server
Don't let vulnerable packages slip into your main branch. This MCP Server lets Cascade run `list_vulnerabilities` to check your active Windsurf dependencies against DeepSource databases. When Cascade spots a high-severity DeepSource alert in Windsurf, it uses `get_vulnerability` to inspect the reachability of the bug and modify your package files.
Set up DeepSource MCP in Windsurf
Prerequisites
- Windsurf IDE installed (macOS, Windows, or Linux)
