Feed music charts into Google ADK

Gemini models hold over a million tokens in context. You can instruct your `LlmAgent` to pull global music trends using the `get_chart` tool and dump the entire response straight into context. The agent filters by ISO country codes to map regional popularity shifts. Combining this with your existing GCP infrastructure changes how you handle audio data. You cross-reference user listening histories stored in BigQuery with live fan counts from `search_artists`.

Search the Deezer MCP Server catalog

Connecting the Vinkius endpoint takes two lines of Python. You initialize a `McpToolset` with your HTTP URL and pass it to the agent. Suddenly, Gemini can execute `search_tracks` and `search_playlists` on its own. You filter which endpoints the agent sees using the `tool_names` parameter. If a specific pipeline only needs to pull genre data, you restrict it to `get_genre` and `get_genre_playlists` to save tokens.

Analyze artist discographies

Enterprise applications require deep data dives. An agent can start with a basic `get_artist` call to grab profile links, then systematically iterate through `get_artist_top_tracks` and `get_album_tracks`. The model digests all that structured metadata at once. It reads release dates, track counts, and preview links, then formats the output perfectly for your Vertex AI pipelines.

Setup guide

Set up Deezer MCP in Google ADK

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • google-adk package (pip install google-adk)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install Google ADK

    Run pip install google-adk to install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via the McpToolset class.

  2. 2

    Connect via SSE transport

    Use McpToolset.from_server() with SseServerParams pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Create an LlmAgent

    Pass the returned mcp_tools list directly to LlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required.

  4. 4

    Run with any Gemini model

    The agent works with any Gemini model (gemini-2.0-flash, gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with Deezer tools in your ADK agent.

agent.py
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams

# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
    connection_params=SseServerParams(
        url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    )
)

# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
    name="Deezer_agent",
    model="gemini-2.0-flash",
    instruction="You have access to Deezer tools via MCP.",
    tools=mcp_tools,
)

Common questions about Deezer MCP in Google ADK

Run `pip install google-adk`. Set up an `McpToolset` using `StreamableHttpServerParameters` with your Vinkius endpoint, then attach it to your `LlmAgent` tools list.
Yes. You use the `tool_names` argument to restrict the agent. This prevents it from calling `search_albums` if you only want it running `get_track`.
The model understands offset and limit parameters natively. It will call `search_tracks` multiple times in a loop to build a massive context window of results.
That is the main reason to use this setup. Your agent pulls live playlist creators via `search_playlists` and immediately runs SQL queries against your internal user tables.
The security model is airtight. The integration only reads external audio metadata like release dates and cover art. Vinkius isolates the execution in a zero-trust sandbox, meaning the server cannot touch your GCP credentials.
