How to Use the Determ MCP in Cursor
Pull live Determ media data directly into your code. Let Cursor's agent write functions using real-time mention and sentiment analytics.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Determ MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Determ to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Build Dashboards with Real Mention Data
Stop mocking API responses for your internal dashboards. Connect Cursor to the Determ MCP server and tell the agent to fetch live data. It can `list_media_mentions` for a topic and then generate the actual front-end code to display them, complete with real titles and links. The agent can use `get_mention_details` to pull full content, then write a function that formats it for a component. You go from an empty file to a working prototype that calls real data in a single prompt.
Automate Reporting with the Determ MCP Server
Use Cursor's agent to write scripts that automate your PR reporting. Tell it to get a `get_query_sentiment_summary` and then generate Python code to plot the results. It's faster than exporting a CSV and building a chart by hand. Your agent can also build more complex scripts. For instance, ask it to `list_recent_high_reach_mentions` and then write code that sends a Slack notification for each one. The MCP server provides the data; Cursor's agent writes the logic.
Explore the Determ API in Your Editor
Figure out how the Determ API works without opening another app. Just ask Cursor's agent to `list_monitoring_queries` or `list_analytics_reports` to see what's available. The agent shows you the exact data structure you'll get back. This is great for building integrations. You can have the agent call `get_account_metadata` to check API limits, then write the code to handle rate limiting, all based on the live response from the server.
