Feed ERP timelines into Gemini long-context windows

This integration exposes the `list_appointments` and `list_time_markers` tools to supply raw scheduling data to your Gemini models. Gemini pulls thousands of active appointments directly into its million-token context window for deep schedule analysis. Instead of processing schedules in tiny, fragmented batches, this MCP Server lets your agent review the entire month of field operations at once. It identifies scheduling gaps and overlapping assignments with global visibility.

Filter exposed tools inside your enterprise MCP Server

Access control is managed through the `list_resources` and `list_tasks` tools by applying explicit name filters in your Google ADK setup. This prevents agents from accessing tools they do not need for specific dispatch tasks. Restricting the agent's toolset lowers token usage and prevents execution errors. Your agent stays focused on matching technicians to open tasks without wading through unused endpoints.

Connect BigQuery data to live ERP operations

Grounding your agent's reasoning uses the `get_job`, `list_jobs`, and `list_categories` tools alongside your Google Cloud datasets. The agent cross-references historical performance data in BigQuery with live ERP jobs. This provides the agent with the context needed to make smarter, data-backed recommendations. It checks past job durations in your data warehouse before checking current job queues to suggest realistic travel and work windows.

Setup guide

Set up Dime.Scheduler MCP in Google ADK

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • google-adk package (pip install google-adk)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install Google ADK

    Run pip install google-adk to install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via the McpToolset class.

  2. 2

    Connect via SSE transport

    Use McpToolset.from_server() with SseServerParams pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Create an LlmAgent

    Pass the returned mcp_tools list directly to LlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required.

  4. 4

    Run with any Gemini model

    The agent works with any Gemini model (gemini-2.0-flash, gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with Dime.Scheduler tools in your ADK agent.

agent.py
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams

# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
    connection_params=SseServerParams(
        url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    )
)

# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
    name="Dime.Scheduler_agent",
    model="gemini-2.0-flash",
    instruction="You have access to Dime.Scheduler tools via MCP.",
    tools=mcp_tools,
)

Common questions about Dime.Scheduler MCP in Google ADK

Use the toolset class to wrap your Vinkius HTTP endpoint parameter. Pass this toolset directly into your Gemini agent definition to expose the scheduling capabilities.
Yes, you can use the optional tool name filter when defining your Google ADK toolset. This lets you limit the agent to specific actions like viewing tasks while hiding resource lists.
It leverages Gemini's long-context capabilities to ingest extensive lists of jobs and resources. The server returns structured JSON that fits naturally into these massive token windows.
Absolutely. Because Google ADK runs natively in the Google Cloud ecosystem, your agent can query BigQuery for performance history and then use this server to inspect current ERP jobs.
Your resource schedules and technician details pass directly between Gemini and your ERP via the Vinkius MCP Server sandbox. All transit uses secure HTTPS, and no scheduling data is cached on disk.
