How to Use the Discord MCP in Cursor
Build and moderate your Discord server while coding in Cursor.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Discord MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Discord to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Automated Discord channel creation
The Cursor agent triggers `create_guild_channel` to build new spaces for your project feedback. It maps these directly into your server structure without you switching windows. When a channel outlives its purpose, use `delete_channel` to wipe the history and attachments. It keeps your workspace clean through direct API commands.
Dynamic message updates in Cursor
Use `create_message` to send automated alerts or status reports to your community. It maps markdown tags to Discord users so your notifications land exactly where they should. For ongoing updates, `edit_message` allows your agent to modify existing posts. This is perfect for keeping progress bars or logs current as your code evolves.
Contextual server insights
Use `list_guild_channels` to map out your server architecture before running any automation. It returns the exact Snowflake IDs needed for precise targeting. When you need to audit activity, `list_channel_messages` pulls the latest text and embed payloads. It gives your agent the raw data needed to analyze community discussions.
