How to Use the DNSimple MCP in Cursor
Bring live domain data into your editor with this DNSimple MCP Server for Cursor.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect DNSimple MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect DNSimple to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Direct domain manipulation in Cursor
Inject live domain data into your coding session by calling `list_domains` or `get_domain`. The agent uses these inputs to write configuration files based on your actual infrastructure. Stop guessing your zone settings. With `list_zone_records`, the agent reads your current setup and proposes accurate changes based on the live API response.
Programmatic DNS record management
Use `create_zone_record` and `delete_zone_record` to modify your infrastructure as you refactor your backend. The AI generates code that directly calls these tools, ensuring your DNS matches your deployment. Batch operations are just as simple. Use `batch_change_zone_records` to update multiple entries at once without creating drift between your environments.
Security and certificate automation
Automate your SSL workflow by using `issue_letsencrypt_certificate` directly from your editor. The agent handles the order and retrieval via the server tools. You can also manage security layers like WHOIS privacy. Toggle `enable_whois_privacy` or `disable_whois_privacy` while you're already focused on your security audit.
