How to Use the Doppler MCP in Cursor
Let Cursor pull real Doppler secrets directly into your codebase during active agent sessions.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Doppler MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Doppler to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Run code with real Doppler configs in Cursor
Retrieving secrets is direct when your Cursor agent runs `list_secrets` to fetch active development configurations. You don't need to write placeholder values in your local files anymore. Instead of guessing database strings, your agent calls `get_secret` to grab the exact connection details. This ensures your code runs successfully on the first try without manual copy-pasting.
Manage Doppler configurations during Cursor sessions
Verifying environment setups is simple when Cursor runs `list_configs` to check your active workspaces. The agent checks `get_config` to ensure your locked environments remain untouched. If you need to add a new environment variable across multiple environments, your agent executes `change_secrets` to update staging and development configs simultaneously. You never have to leave your editor to sync your team's variables.
Audit configuration history inside the Cursor terminal
Tracking breaking changes is fast when your agent runs `list_activity_logs` inside the Cursor chat window. You see exactly who modified which secrets and when the change occurred without opening a browser. By querying `list_projects` and `list_workspaces`, the agent maps out your entire configuration architecture. This keeps your local development environments perfectly aligned with the cloud console.
