How to Use the Drone CI MCP in Cursor
Write code and trigger Drone CI builds right inside Cursor agent mode.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Drone CI MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Drone CI to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Debug pipeline failures inside Cursor
The MCP Server lets your agent pull real execution data using `get_build_logs` and `get_build` directly into your active editor. You don't copy-paste terminal errors anymore. When a test fails on main, your agent reads the logs, finds the bug, fixes the file, and runs `restart_build` to verify the patch. This cuts out the feedback loop between editing and verifying.
Promote deployments via Cursor Agent Mode
You deploy your code to staging or production environments using `promote_build` directly from the chat sidebar. Your agent checks the active build list using `list_builds` to ensure the commit passed tests before moving it forward. If things go sideways during a release, you stop the current run using `stop_build`. You keep control of the release process without jumping out of your coding environment.
Manage cron schedules using Cursor MCP Server
You configure scheduled testing pipelines using `create_cron_job` and `update_cron_job` while editing your codebase. Your agent reads your project needs and updates the interval on the server. When you need to test the schedule immediately, you run `trigger_cron_job`. You verify the results using `get_cron_job` to make sure your nightly builds run exactly when expected.
