Connect DummyImage MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect DummyImage to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Inline image generation inside Cursor
The `generate_image` tool inserts valid DummyImage placeholder URLs directly into your active Cursor code files. While writing React components or HTML templates, your Cursor agent calls this tool to populate image tags with real-time links. You do not need to pause your Cursor coding session to write dummy URLs manually. The Cursor agent calculates the required dimensions based on your CSS and fills the code with working DummyImage visual blocks.
Speed up front-end prototyping with an MCP Server
Calling `generate_image` provides instant visual feedback while you run Cursor's composer or agent mode. Your Cursor agent generates DummyImage placeholders that match your wireframe specifications without relying on local asset folders. This setup avoids cluttering your Cursor project directory with temporary PNG or SVG files. The DummyImage MCP server handles everything on the fly, keeping your active workspace completely clean.
Automated sizing for complex grid systems
Running the `generate_image` tool calculates precise aspect ratios to fill out product card grids and hero banners inside the Cursor editor. Your Cursor agent reads your Tailwind classes and passes the correct dimensions directly to the DummyImage generator. This eliminates the guesswork when setting up responsive image containers in Cursor. Your layout renders with correctly proportioned DummyImage placeholders, preventing layout shifts during development.
